This Is ATV in Monochrome and Colour. The idea for a look at the studios goes back to September 2006 when ATV and the Crossroads Fan Club arranged a tour with ITV Central of the former Birmingham ATV studios. In 2008 a suggestion was made to make a documentary about ATV Centre, but as most of the UK hasn't heard of the studios and the 'fans' behind it were more interested in profit than people (against everything Lew Grade stood for), we decided the best option would be to look at all the key ATV studios, from the Monochrome days through to Colour. The iconic Elstree (the famous one which makes the venture worth doing), the substandard Alpha and the under-loved and un-wanted Paradise Centre. This has been in production alongside Return to Crossroads and the first part will be online, free to view, shortly. Edition One Alpha TV, Edition Two ATV Elstree and Edition Three Paradise Centre.
